It is already 3 weeks that we have been in Port Arthur; the pictures above show one of the homes we had a last nail on. We were privileged to have two, and each one was a moving experience. The week is ending with a lot of rain (I'm shopping for boots); I think my feet have been wet for 4 days! It is also cold but I guess I will not get anywhere complaining about that when I hear the temps up north! On Saturday a new group will be coming in, so Rich and I are already getting ready for them. It is easier for us to just continue on with the projects started because a lot of the leg work is already done from the last 3 weeks. We will be starting on 2 new homes this coming week. When you meet the people in the homes you cannot wait to get started. Mr. Aaron, an owner of one of the homes, sat on the bed when we were looking at his house to see what had to be done, took both of my hands in his and said "I just prayed and prayed to the Lord for you to come". He had tears in his eyes; that just makes it all worth it. Please continue to pray for the work here as there is so much to do.

How exciting! When you meet the people you just can't wait to work for them, can you? I'm glad your work is going well. we're leaving this week for Belle Glade but our trailer is not done yet. Doug is VERY frustrated! We've had it up there for a month already and they just started last week- now it's not done. They knew we needed it. Anyway, say hello to P & J and J & J and anyone else we should know. Take care of things down there- you never know when we resurface. Doug & Mary
